Mrs. Deborah M. Brown has been a Charles County Public Schools employee for more than 40 years. She began her teaching career at Arthur Middleton Elementary School and taught there for 24 years. She became a vice principal in 2000 and has been assigned to Indian Head, Dr. Gustavus Brown and Eva Turner elementary schools. This is Brown's second year at Mary B. Neal Elementary as principal.

Mrs. Brown received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park. She has lived in Charles County for more than 30 years and is passionate about children and their education. Mrs. Brown looks forward to working with the staff, students, parents, and the community to ensure that Mary B. Neal continues to be a school of character as well as excellence.
